China grass pudding
The recipe is from here .Thanks for the recipe. Do have a look at her blog for she has got some other nice recipes too:) To be honest the Poor eater ate just one slice & then refused to touch it! He is not a big fan of jellies etc!
Ingredients:
Agar agar pwd - 2 tbsps, water - 1/2 cup, milk - 1 1/2 cup, sugar - 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp, rose water - 1 tsp, red colour - a few drops.
Method:
Take the agar agar pwd & water in a saucepan & boil until the agar agar iscompletely dissolved. Add the milk, colour, stir & bring to boil once again. Now add the sugar. After you have added the sugar the mixture will turn a bit watery, but keep stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from heat, add the rose water, mix & pour into a plate & allow to set at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours.
Once it is set, store it in the fridge, cut into slices & serve!
