For my people will live as long as trees...For they are people blessed by the Lord, and their children too, will be blessed. I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs,I will go ahead and answer their prayers! Isaiah 65:22-24

Cabbage korma!

Cabbage korma!

Cabbage - 2 cups,chopped, onion - 1, sliced, tomato - 1, chopped, salt to taste, oil - 3 tbsp, cinnamon - 1, clove - 3, cardamom - 1, curry leaves - 5, turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp.
To grind:
Green chillies - 4, fennel seeds - 1 tsp, coriander pwd - 2 tsp, garlic clove - 1( big), grated coconut - 3 tbsp, roasted gram dal ( pottu kadalai) - 2 tsp.
Grind the above ingredients to a smooth paste.
Method:
Heat oil in a pan & season with cinnamon, clove, cardamom & curry leaves. Add the onions & fry till onions are golden. Now add the ground paste, turmeric pwd, salt & chopped tomatoes & stir fry for 2 to 3 mins. Now add the cabbage stir fry for a few more seconds & pour in 2 cups of water & cover & cook till done & the gravy has also thickened to the desired consistency! Serve hot with chappatis:)
Even cabbage haters will like this dish, because it wont taste like cabbage like in cabbage porial! Shredded cabbage cooked with kurma spices tastes good with wholewheat chappatis!!:) )
