A foolproof badam burfi recipe! No more with having to deal with cooked almond paste, which refuses to set & remains a gooey mixture even after hours of being left outside to set!;) The recipe is from here. Thanks you for sharing this recipe with us!:)
Ingredients:
Milkmaid - 1 tin ( 397 gms), use the empty tin as the measuring cup, milk pwd - 1 measure, almond pwd - 2 measures, saffron pwd - 2 generous pinches, sugar - 1/2 measure +2 tbsps, milk - 1 tbsp, ghee - 2 tbsps.
Method:
Mix all the ingredients in a large MW bowl & microwave uncovered for 8 mins , stirring every two minutes. Spread the almond paste on a parchement paper lined tray & allow to cool. Cut into slices & serve. As soon as the halwa comes out of the MW, it will be a bit soft, but will harden on cooling down. Wish i had found this during x'mas time!:)
